Well another year has come and gone. I hope you are having a great December and are enjoying the holidays. According to the Mayan calendar the world is going to end in 2012 so live it up while you still can! Make sure to spend lots of time with friends and family eating good food and enjoying fun entertainment.
The main project I am working on these days is how to make money online which is coming along nicely. We are going to have a free seven day course soon, along with a private training area and forums. Right now we are building out the free areas and the premium sections will launch soon.
One of the better resources I have been reading is Penelope Trunk’s career advice blog. She posts the deepest stuff, I love her work. The way she looks at the world is so interesting.
I have also been watching a lot of Shane Dawson and Meeka Kitty. There is so much cool content on youtube, I look forward to watching it continue to evolve. Go check out some of their videos.

Hello Web Traffic Academy Readers. Just wanted to make some announcements. During the past week I’ve relaunched Game Website Builder dot com. Game Website Builder is a project I’ve been working on for almost two years now. I just finished the introduction video and begun advertising on Google, Ebay, WarriorForum, SitePoint, DigitalPoint, FunKlicks, and a number of other sites. This week I will begin to push my affiliate program.
Two of the other sites I’ve launched are demo sites of the Game Website Builder. The first is GamesViking which can be found at Viking Games. The second is Shooting Games Online, which I particularly like the background of and the domain name is one that I was surprised wasn’t yet taken considering the search volume that phrase has.
The next project I will begin work on is my Starcraft 2 Strategy Guide at Starcraft 2 Strategy Masters dot com. This
News of the Day: Google says the Ad recessions is over and that they will begin hiring aggressively again. That is good news for anyone lucky enough to get a job with them, as they are probably the most profitable technology company in the world right now, and their future outlook looks really good due to YouTube soon becoming profitable due to more of the big tv networks beginning to advertise with them and with the new video compression technology they recently acquired.
May the web traffic be with you!
Have you ever noticed that 99% of the most popular, most famous bloggers very rarely link out to other blogs in their posts? Copyblogger, Entrepreneurs-Journey, ProBlogger, HowToMakeMyBlog, ChrisBrogan, SethGodin, and at least 90% of the Technorati Top 100 do not link out to other sites in their posts, and if they do its usually only with an affiliate link or on a very rare occasion to promote a partners site. The authors of these blogs write like they thought up all the ideas in each of their posts, and it really helps to build their authority in the eyes of their readers. The A-list bloggers know that when you link out, it causes people to leave your site, and if you link out to better sites, they won’t be back.
The only very successful blogger I know of who links out to other sites a lot is Aaron Wall of SEOBook. In many of his posts he links out like crazy, sometimes to 10 to 15 different articles at different blogs. One of the reasons he does this is because Aaron Wall doesn’t make his money directly from selling ad space on his blog, he makes it from selling his own products. He mainly writes blog posts to build trust with his potential customers, and get high search engine rankings for keywords he deliberately targets with his posts as Google’s ranking algorithm gives you more points for linking to good sites so he does it to increase his rankings. The other reason he links out to blogs in particular a lot is because when you link to other bloggers, they usually see that you linked to them, so linking to blogs its a great way to market your sites and products directly to bloggers, and get them to link back to you.
When you first start profit blogging, you might consider linking out to other blogger’s posts to get noticed by other bloggers in your niche, but eventually I would recommend cutting down on it and focusing on building perceived authority. That’s where the biggest money is.
